Core-spun yarn usually refers to polyester core-spun yarn or Polyester Dope-dyed Yarn. When spinning, polyester staple fiber or pure cotton fiber wraps a bundle of polyester continuous filaments, and then these yarns are plied to make a thread. The proportion of the core yarn polyester continuous filament accounts for about 60% of the structure ratio of this kind of yarn. The role of the core wire:
• same thickness provides higher strength (high strength)
• More uniform yarn count, more stable tension and other physical properties
• Higher set elongation, or tensile strength, allows for better loop formation and reduced seam creases.
• Better plying security - fewer loose strand breaks
• very good abrasion resistance and durability
The covering layer of the cored wire can be polyester staple fiber or pure cotton fiber. The outer cladding gives the cored wire a fibrous appearance and contributes to:
• Softer hand than 100% continuous polyester filament
• Sewing appearance has a matte finish similar to SP thread in structure
• Very good abrasion resistance compared to continuous polyester filament yarns
Advantages of polyester cladding
Very good color fastness, chemical and abrasion resistance
The tension is better than that of cotton-covered polyester sewing thread
High-quality "overall dyeing" because it is a one-step dyeing °
Advantages of cotton cover
• Good pin heat resistance
• Excellent neat sewing appearance
